Huntingdon V St.Neots (Peterborough Premier)
Huntingdon extended their winning run to 3 games following a triumphant 81-38 victory over St.Neots.
Hawks once again came out strong early on, taking the first quarter 21-5, with Steven Claringbould and Jon Hipple combining for Hawks’ first 17 points!
The bench then took over for Hawks in the second quarter, holding on to the lead and giving them a 37-26 halftime lead, but with St.Neots still very much in the game.
Hawks then opened the second half with 24 consecutive points coming from everyone on the floor, making the score 61-26 with 14minutes left, and virtually killing off the game. St.Neots never really threatened after that, with the Huntingdon bench managing to see out the game and take a very easy 81-38 victory for the impressive Hawks.
For Hawks Steve Claringbould once again led all scorers with 23 points, including 5 3-pointers. He was well supported by Jon Hipple with 17, Matt Parsons with 15 and Chris Banks with 14, whilst Darren Thrift-Summers enjoyed his best game of the season contributing 8 points.
